Men’s Soccer Drops Home Opener

The Millikin men's soccer team lost its home opener 3-1 to Benedictine University on September 3 at Frank M. Lindsay Field in Decatur.
 
The teams played to a scoreless first half before Eagles scored three straight goals. Benedictine's Hayden Van Son opened the scoring with a goal in the 51st minute. The Eagles scored on a Michal Szaflarski goal to make it 2-0. After Chris Reynoso scored for Benedictine in the 74th minute, Millikin got on the board with Collin Budd scoring on an assist from Alessandro Desario.
 
Millikin falls to 0-2 while the Eagles go to 1-1.
