The Millikin men's volleyball team began their 2022 campaign on Saturday, January 22 at the first day of the Adrian College Quad in Adrian, Mich. The day began with a matchup against the host Bulldogs followed by a matchup with Olivet College.

Adrian took the victory, taking the first set 22-25 and the second set 16-25. Millikin rallied back to take the 25-23 win in set three, but Adrian finished things off in the fourth set with a 19-25 win. 

The Big Blue were led at the net by Peter Sailsman with 11 kills. Kyle Clendenen added nine kills, two aces, and eight digs. Michael Anderson led Millikin in blocks with three total and chipped in two aces. Robbie Maida topped the assist leaders with 27, and Jensen Mast led in digs with 13. 

The second matchup of the day pitted the Big Blue against the Comets of Olivet College. Millikin fell in three sets (18-25, 19-25, 19-25). 

Clendenen tallied the top number of kills with seven and digs with 11. Maida tallied 23 assists and two service aces. Chelan Beavers and Anderson each chipped in three blocks. 

The Big Blue will look to bounce back in a matchup with the Sabres of Marian University on Sunday, January 23 on the final day of the Adrian Quad.
