Big Blue Men’s Soccer Falls to #5 North Park

The Millikin men's soccer team turned in a solid effort falling to the fifth ranked North Park Vikings 2-1 on October 1 at Frank M. Lindsay Field in Decatur, Illinois.
 
The Vikings opened the scoring in the ninth minute on a goal from Angel Barriga. Millikin played North Park tight the entire first half and tied the game at 40:25 when Luke Owsley converted a penalty kick.
 
The game was even throughout with North Park holding a 14-11 shot advantage.
The Vikings scored the game winner at 63:49 on a goal from Willy Wickman.
 
Millikin goalkeeper Felix Malm had six saves as did North Park keeper Alfred Sward.
 
Millikin falls to 0-6-2, 0-2 while North Park improves to 9-1, 2-0.
