Big Blue Baseball Opens Season

The Millikin baseball team opened its season with a 9-0 loss to Berry College at the Millsaps Baseball Classic in Jackson, Mississippi on February 11.
 
Berry scored one run in the first and added to more in the second. Berry broke open the game with a three run fourth inning.
 
Millikin managed only four singles in the game. Tommy Shaw and Kyle Gibson each had a hit and stolen base for Millikin. Frank Bryan and Tanner Coleman had the other two Millikin hits.
 
Jack Poist paced the Berry attack out of the leadoff spot going 3-6 with two RBI and two runs scored. Wesley Wade homered for Berry.
 
Millikin will face Millsaps College on Saturday.
