Baseball Eliminated from CCIW Tournament

The Millikin baseball team was eliminated from the 2022 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Baseball Tournament with a 13-3 loss to North Central College on May 13 in Naperville.
 
Millikin opened a 2-0 lead in the top of third, but the Cardinals answered back with five runs in the bottom of the inning. North Central scored six runs in the fifth and two in the seventh.
 
Millikin was limited to four hits in the game with Tanner Coleman and Hunter Smith picking up RBI for the Big Blue.
 
Luke Lehnen led North Central going 3-3 with two runs scored and two RBI. Jason Shaner was the complete game winning pitcher for North Central.
 
Millikin is now 27-16 while North Central improves to 32-11. The Big Blue must now play the waiting game hoping for an at-large berth in next week's NCAA Division III Baseball Tournament. The field will be announced on Monday.
