The Big Blue women's volleyball team traveled to Oshkosh, Wis. on Friday, September 9 for day one of the UW Oshkosh M.V.P. Invitational. Millikin split, falling to UW Stevens Point in three sets (20-25, 17-25, 23-25) then defeating Edgewood College in three.
In the first match of the day against the Pointers,
Tori Stuart led the way in kills with nine, and
Kailee Itzenhuiser added seven.
Reece Brown tallied 15 assists, and Sandy Brindl added 10. Sophia Howell was the digs leader with 19.
The Big Blue defeated Edgewood with set scores of 25-14, 25-21, 25-20. Millikin outkilled the Eagles 42-22.
Jessi Kreder was the kills leader with 12. Stuart added nine. Howell, and
Kaitlyn Skowronski each added three aces. Brown notched 20 set assists, and Brindl tallied 16. Howell topped the team in digs with 14.
The Big Blue will take the court again at the UW-Oshkosh MVP Invitational on Saturday, September 10 for matchups with the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and the host Titans of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
