Triathlon Places Second at Lake Country Challenge

The Big Blue women's triathlon team traveled to Oconomowoc, Wis. on Saturday, September 3 for the Lake Country Challenge against North Central College and Concordia University Wisconsin. The Big Blue placed second in team scoring with 27 points. North Central College tallied 54 team points while CUW scored 15.

Finishing first for Millikin in sixth place was senior Sarahi Villafana with a time of 1:28.01 to score 10 points for the Big Blue. Julia Druml placed eighth with a time of 1:29.52, followed by Amanda Fathman in tenth with a time of 1:31.50. The final Millikin athlete to finish was Kendall Rossignol in a time of 1:42.49.

Millikin triathlon will hit the road again for a race in East Grand Rapids, Mich. on Saturday, September 10.
