Millikin Wrestling Falls in Battle of Ranked Teams

The #21 Millikin wrestling team lost to sixth ranked North Central College 40-2 on January 19 at the Griswold Center in Decatur, Illinois.

The match had major implications in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) regular season duals standings as both teams entered the night undefeated in conference action. The regular season battle will be settled on Saturday, January 21 at the CCIW Duals at Concordia-Wisconsin in Mequon, Wisconsin.

Millikin won the opening match at 125 pounds with third ranked Zac Blasioli defeating Julian Valtierrez, who entered the match ranked #15 in the NWCA rankings, 5-3. Blasioli is now 15-2 on the season.

North Central improved to 10-3, 6-0 while Millikin falls to 9-6, 6-1. Full dual results listed below.
