Women's Swimming Morgan Vogels

Millikin Men Second, Women Second at Principia Panther Invite

The Big Blue swim teams continued their busy weekend at the Principia Panther Invite in St. Louis, Mo. on Saturday, January 21. The Millikin men placed first with 481 points, and the women took second with 499 points. Hendrix placed first on the women's side. 

The Big Blue started off strong with a relay win by the team of Emma CoxKaitlyn Mayer, Kendall Rossignol, and Aly Barnes placed first in the 200 yard medley relay in 2:00.14. The men's team of KJ Hamlin, Aaron Amaya, Jason Burrow, and Mark Miller placed second in 1:54.55. 

Rossignol was the winner of the 500 yard freestyle in a time of 5:47.29 with Shay Buchanan placing second in 5:57.40. Justin Maniago won the men's race in 5:16.59. 

Barnes tallied an individual victory in the women's 200 yard freestyle in 2:06.87. Jack Hughes topped the leaderboard in the men's race in 1:54.62. Miller took second in 2:05.00. 

Dawsen Loafman took first in the 100 yard backstroke in a time of 56.98. 

Rossignol recorded her second victory of the day in the 100 yard breaststroke in 1:14.25. Natallie Buchanan took third in a time of 1:20.16. Msanaa Bosland took first in the men's race in 1:05.30. 

Brianna Brunk won the 200 yard breaststroke for the women in 2:45.60. For the men, Hughes was first in 2:06.93. 

Kaitlyn Mayer took second in the women's 50 freestyle with Amanda Fathman in third. Loafman placed second in the men's race. Mayer took third in the 100 yard freestyle race. On the mens side, Loafman also took third. 

Barnes tallied her second individual victory in the 200 yard backstroke in 2:19.67. For the men, Maniago took first and Bosland was third.  

Buchanan placed first in the women's 200 yard breaststroke and Amaya took third in the men's race. Shay Buchanan placed third in the 1650 freestyle race for the women. 

Mayer won the 100 yard butterfly in 1:04.87. 

Barnes topped the leaderboard again in the 400 IM and Bosland took second in the men's race. 

The men's relay team of Loafman, Bosland, Hughes, and Maniago took first in the 400 freestyle relay.
