The Big Blue women's team had an early morning traveling to Chicago, Illinois on Wednesday, October 11th. The Big Blue went on to face the Vikings, but were defeated 1-8. This moves the women's record to 2-6 overall and 1-4 in CCIW play.
In doubles play, the Vikings came out on top sweeping all three doubles slots.
Once singles play started, the Vikings continues their hot streak with taking five out of the singles play wins.
Emily Markus was the lone winner in singles play. Markus fell in the first set to North Park's Hanna Zethraeus 0-6, but fought back to force a third set, to take the win in the next two sets 6-4, 10-7.
Zariah Wherry came out strong at No. 6 singles with forcing a third set, but falling 1-6, 6-4, 1-10.
The Big Blue are back on the road to take on North Central in Naperville, IL on Friday, October 13th. First serves are expected to start at 12:45 PM.
