Millikin Wrestling on the Rise in NWCA Rankings

DECATUR, Illinois—The undefeated Millikin (5-0) wrestling team continues to rise in National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) NCAA Division III Men's Rankings released on December 15, 2023. The Big Blue are tied for 13th in the NWCA Tournament Team Rankings. Millikin is ranked 18th in first Dual Team Rankings of the season.

Three Millikin wrestlers are ranked in the NWCA Individual Rankings and all three have moved up since rankings released in late November. Undefeated senior Zac Blasioli (Wood River, East Alton Wood River H.S.) is ranked second at 125 pounds with a 7-0 record. Sophomore Nathan Callaway (Aurora, Marmion Academy) moved up to ninth from 12th at 157 pounds. Callaway is 13-0 on the season. Senior Dejon Glaster (Murfreesboro, Tenn., Oakland H.S.) is ranked ninth at 174 pounds with an 10-1 record.

Millikin will compete in four duals at the Gator Boot Duals in Tennessee on December 16. The Big Blue will face two ranked teams starting at 8 a.m. against Averett who is tied for 24th in the tournament team rankings. Millikin's second match of the day on Saturday is against Baldwin Wallace who tied for fourth in the team rankings and is fifth in the dual rankings.
