Big Blue Men’s Soccer Falls in CCIW Opener

The Millikin men's soccer team lost its opener in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin falling to Carroll University 4-2 on September 23 in Decatur, Illinois.
 
Olav Kaldahl opened the scoring for Millikin in the 32nd minute.
 
Carroll would rally and tie the game on a goal by Marc Gollner late in the first half. The Pioneers scored twice within two minutes in the first 10 minutes of the second half with Marti Solanellas and Zane Walters scoring goals.
 
The Big Blue made it a 3-2 game in the 55th minute on a free kick by Alexander Wozniak.
 
Carroll sealed the victory with a goal from David Serra Dizy.
 
Millikin is now 4-3-1, 0-1 while Carroll improves to 5-4, 1-0.
