Women’s Soccer Edged by Pioneers

The Millikin women's soccer team lost to Carroll University 2-1 in the opener of College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) action on September 23 at Frank M. Lindsay Field in Decatur, Illinois.
 
Millikin scored in the sixth minute to open a 1-0 advantage with the goal going to Melis Barutcu scored off the corner kick by Payton Dominguez.
 
The Pioneers tied the game in the 55th minute with a goal from Grace Tumilty. Carroll scored the game winner at 67:40 with Jo Ueland scoring off the corner kicked from Elli Pease.
 
Millikin is now 4-4, 0-1 while Carroll improves to 6-3, 1-0.
