Women's Swimming Morgan Vogels

Swimming Competes in Chicago at Meet hosted by UIC, North Central

The Big Blue men's and women's swim teams competed on Saturday, January 27 at a meet hosted by the University of Illinois Chicago and North Central, also competing against Missouri State, University of Evansville, IUPUI, and Augustana. 

In the women's 100 yard backstroke, freshman Layla Walker broke into the top 10 all-time in Millikin history in the eighth slot with a time of 1:02.10. She placed 14th. Dawson Behl placed ninth in the men's race.

Walker entered the top ten in the 50 yard freestyle, finishing in a time of 25.28 to place ninth and tying for fourth place in Millikin history. In the 100 yard butterfly, she now sits in tenth place all time with her time of 1:01.42. 

Behl bettered his time in the 200 IM, rising to seventh all-time from the eighth slot, finishing his race in 1:59.63.

The men finished in seventh place with 46 total points, and the women placed sixth with 90.5 points. NCAA Division I IUPUI took the top slot in the men's rankings with 635.5 points, and NCAA Division I Missouri State placed first on the women's side with 685.5 points.
