Women’s Soccer Knocks off Vikings

The Millikin women's soccer team defeated North Park University 1-0 at Frank M. Lindsay Field on October 23. The Big Blue improve to 11-2-1 overall and 3-2 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin.
 
The win gave Millikin a great start to the final stretch run of the regular season that sees the Big Blue play four games in eight days. Millikin's final three games on the road starting on Saturday, Oct. 26 at Augustana. 
 
Millikin got the lone goal of the game in the 10th minute when Izzy Jones scored on a cross field pass from Hallie Schafman.
 
North Park keep pressure on Millikin all game out shooting the Big Blue 18-7.
 
Millikin goalkeeper Myka Smith recorded the shutout with 10 saves.
 
North Park is now 5-9-1, 1-4-1.
