Cross Country Runs at CCIW Championships

The Millikin men's and women's cross country teams competed at the 2024 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Cross Country Championships on November 2 at St. James Farm in Warrenville, Illinois. The Millikin men finished in fourth place with the women coming in eighth.

In the men's 8K race, Big Blue graduate student Bradyn Olmstead earned All-Conference First Team honors with an eighth place finish in a school record time of 24:39.1 breaking his own record by 20 seconds. Freshman Reece Peters finished in 23rd in 25:41.0 turning in the Big Blue's seventh all-time fastest performance. Aidan Pacunas (28th place finish) and Brock Richards (36th place) put their names in the Millikin Cross Country Top 25 All-Time Chart. Pacunas ran the course in 26:06.5 ranking 16th all-time while Richard's 26:18.8 was fastest enough for 21st all-time.

In the women's race, Emma Mallory finished in 24th in 23:37.0, which as 15th fastest in school history. Teyla Wendt turned in the all-time 19th fastest time of 23:46.8 finishing in 29th.
