The Big Blue women's soccer team defeated Augustana College in the opening round of the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Tournament in a 2-1 contest on Saturday, November 2. Millikin earned the three seed and the right to host for the first time in program history due to their regular season performance. 

After a scoreless first half, Payton Dominguez and Addie Gudaitis teamed up for two second half goals for the Big Blue. First it was Dominguez who scored in the 47th minute assisted by Gudaitis, then Dominguez returned the favor in an assist on a goal by Gudaitis in the 56th minute. 

Augustana tallied a goal of their own in the 73rd minute on a goal by Liesl Whitener assisted by Abby DeGustino, but the Big Blue came away victorious in the 2-1 match. 

The Big Blue advance to the CCIW Tournament semifinals against second seeded North Central on Wednesday, November 6 in Naperville, Ill.
