Millikin Football Loses to #23 Wheaton

Box Score The Millikin football team lost to #23 Wheaton College 64-10 on November 9 at Frank M. Lindsay Field in Decatur, Illinois.
 
Millikin scored on its opening driving connecting on a 46-yard field goal from Lucas Mosqueda.
 
Wheaton dominated the rest of the game including scoring 29 points in the second quarter for a 43-3 lead at halftime.
 
Wheaton had 547 yards of total offense while Millikin gained 158 yards.
 
Giovanni Weeks led the Wheaton attack with 140 yards rushing on 13 carries. Mark Forcucci was 9-13 passing for 157 yards and five touchdowns. Receiver Ben Bonga had five catches for 93 yards and three touchdowns.
 
Millikin quarterback Aidan Lombardi was 10-22 passing for 146 yards.
 
Defensive end Omarion Ammons had a 40 yard fumbler recovery for Millikin's lone touchdown.
 
Millikin celebrated Senior Day with 14 seniors playing their final home games for the Big Blue. Senior Wasiu Lawal had eight tackles to lead the Millikin defense. Senior Braxton Coleman had three tackles for a loss. Senior James Barnes had six tackles.
 
Millikin fall to 0-9, 0-8 while Wheaton improves to 7-2, 7-1.
