Millikin Basketball Loses at Trine

The Millikin women's basketball team lost at Trine University 71-41 on December 20 in Trine's Pre-Christmas Tournament in Angola, Indiana.
 
Trine controlled the game from the start holding a 40-23 advantage at halftime. The Thunder shot 27-59 (46 percent) from the field and made nine three-pointers. Millikin was held to 11-43 (26 percent) shooting connecting on six three-pointers. Trine won the rebounding battle 38-30.
 
Emily Brenneisen led Millikin with 12 points followed by Kyleigh Block with eight.
 
Trine was led by Sidney Wagner with 13 and Erin Sherwood and Hailey Cole each with 10.
 
Trine improves to 8-1 while Millikin falls to 2-8.
 
The Big Blue will be back in action on New Year's Day at 3 p.m. hosting Central College.
