Millikin Wrestling Scores Three Wins at Gator Boots Duals

The Millikin wrestling team won three matches at the 2024 Gator Boots Duals hosted by Luther College in Nashville, Tenn. on December 21. The Big Blue defeated Delaware Valley 25-17 and took down the University of Ozarks 36-6. The final match ended with a odd 40 to -1 score after Huntingdon was held scoreless on the mat and penalized one team point. Millikin is now 8-0 on the season.

Millikin's win over #16 Delaware Valley was the 100th dual victory for Head Coach Ryan Birt and the Big Blue program since returning to competition in 2015.

Millikin had five wrestlers win all three of their matches. Dejon Glaster posted three technical fall wins at 174 pounds with wins by 20-2, 19-3, 17-2. Senior Coby Haney had a major decision, a decision and technical fall win at 133. Joey Jens had two wins by decision and a win by fall. Benicio Martinez had two wins by decision and a win by fall. Mason Clem at 187 had a win by fall, a 17-1 technical fall win and a 1-0 decision.
