Three Millikin Wrestlers Qualify for NCAA DIII Wrestling Championships

Three Millikin wrestlers qualified for the NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships by finishing in the top three in their weight classes at the 2024 NCAA Division III Lower Midwest Regionals held at the Alliant Energy Powerhouse in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on February 29-March 1.

Millikin's Zac Blasioli, Nathan Callaway and Dejon Glaster are all heading to La Crosse, Wisconsin, March 15-16. Callaway was the Regional Champion at 157 with Blasioli finishing in second at 125 and Glaster taking third at 174.

Coming into the weekend, Callaway was ranked #12 in the nation by the NWCA. Callaway defeated 10th ranked Daniel Meeker of Wartburg in the semifinals 4-1 and defeated #15 Gabriel Smith of Cornell in the Championship match 4-1.

In the semifinals Blasioli, who entered the weekend ranked third by the NWCA, defeated 13th ranked Cade Hornback of Coe 4-2. Blasioli lost the Championship match to #2 Christian Guzman of North Central by forfeit after some confusion over the start time of the Championship round.

Glaster lost the 174 pound semifinal match to sixth ranked Zeb Gnida of Loras 4-2.
Glaster fought his way back winning the consolation semi 6-3 over Austin Roos of Central and taking the third place match 8-6 over L.J. Richardson of Coe.

Millikin finished in seventh place in the team standings with 93 team points.
