Millikin Women’s Soccer Improves to 2-0

Playing on back-to-back days the Millikin women's soccer team improved to 2-0 on the 2024 season with a 4-1 win over Kalamazoo College on September 1 at Frank M. Lindsay Field in Decatur, Illinois. The Big Blue opened the season on Saturday with a 4-1 win at Knox College.
 
Millikin jumped out to the lead in the seventh minute when Mia Brown scored off a corner kick from Payton Dominguez. Brown would score again in the half at 41:05 to make it 2-0 Big Blue. Kameron Zurzolo set up the score with a direct kick from 40 yards out.
 
It was Hallie Schafman's turn at scoring in the second half scoring in the 47th and 80th minutes. Schafman now has three goals on the season. Adianna Gudaitis had an assist.
 
Madalyn Everly earned the win in goal for Millikin with four saves.
 
The Hornets lone goal cam at 77:40 from Ellie Andrews.
