Women's Triathlon Hosts Prairie State Cup

On a hot Saturday afternoon, the Big Blue women's triathlon team played host to the Prairie State Cup at Lake Clinton in Clinton, Ill. The race, held on Saturday, September 21, is one of only four collegiate cup races that have a heavier weight on triathlon rankings as the premier races outside of the regional and national races.

Millikin placed ninth with 48 overall points, competing against triathletes from all three NCAA divisions. Duquesne took the top slot with 302 points, followed by Black Hills State with 260 and North Central College with 250 points.

Brenna Pacheco was the top individual finisher, finishing in 46th place with a time of 1:26:11. Anjaleah Knowles was the next to finish for the Big Blue, taking 54th place and completing the race in a time of 1:33:07. Yoanna Barajas was 59th, recording a time of 1:34:51.
