The Millikin men's soccer team dropped its second CCIW contest of the season with a 5–1 loss against North Park.
The Vikings jumped out to an early lead with four first-half goals, including a penalty kick in the opening minute.
The Big Blue battled after the break, finding their rhythm offensively and breaking through when
Bryce Davis buried his fourth goal of the season. Davis was set up by defender
Eithan Shay, who earned the assist with a well-placed ball. Millikin generated six second-half shots, forcing the North Park keeper into five saves.
Defensively, goalkeeper
Chase Mandra worked the full 90 minutes and tallied seven saves while facing heavy pressure.
With the loss, Millikin moves to 4–5–1 overall and 0–1–1 in CCIW play. The Big Blue will look to regroup when they return to action at Elmhurst for their next conference match on October 4.
