Millikin Men’s Basketball Wins on the Road

The Millikin men's basketball team hit the road on Saturday, November 15, taking on Earlham College at Lingle Court in Richmond, Ind. The Big Blue continued their strong early-season form, pulling away in the second half to earn a 74-61 victory, improving to 3-0 on the year.

Millikin trailed 32-30 at halftime but surged out of the break with a dominant offensive stretch, outscoring Indiana East 44-29 in the second half. 

Lane Thomann spearheaded the win with a standout performance, leading all scorers with 27 points while adding six rebounds and a steal. Ian Winkler provided a spark on both ends, tallying 13 points, four assists, and four steals, including multiple transition finishes that helped shift momentum. Nate Straughter contributed 13 points, two assists, and two steals.

McGrady Noyes anchored the interior with nine rebounds and four points, and Chris Ketchum delivered a strong bench effort with seven rebounds, four assists, and three steals. As a team, the Big Blue held Earlham to 41.7% shooting and just 26.7% from three in the second half.

The victory keeps Millikin undefeated at 3-0 ahead of their next contest as they look to continue building early season momentum.
