The Millikin men's and women's cross country teams capped off their 2025 seasons with strong showings at the NCAA Division III Midwest Region Championships on Saturday. The Big Blue men finished 13th out of 32 teams, while the women placed 15th out of 30, showcasing depth, consistency, and steady progress across both programs.
Leading the men's squad was Reece Peters, who delivered a standout performance with a 56th-place finish in 26:27.7. Close behind came Julio Hernandez Lopez, placing 70th in 26:41.1, and Brock Richards, just one spot back in 71st with a time of 26:41.9
On the women's side, Brooklynn Sweikar once again led the Big Blue, placing 43rd overall with a time of 23:33.6 in the 6K race. Teyla Wendt followed with a strong 65th-place finish in 23:58.5, while Brynn Behrmann crossed in 82nd at 24:11.4.Â
