Millikin Wrestling Rallies to Defeat Aurora University

The Millikin University wrestling team dominated the upper weights and rallied to defeat Aurora University 27-17 in a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) dual match in Decatur, Illinois on December 5-0. Millikin improves to 3-0 on the season.

The Spartans won the first three matches jumping out to a 12-0. Aurora started strong with Zane Ely winning by fall in the 125 pound match.

Millikin's Sabri Sino got the Big Blue on the board at 149 with an 8-3 decision.

Trailing 17-3, Millikin won the final three weight classes. Michael Hutchison started the comeback with a 16-1 technical fall win at 165. Joey Jens posted a 10-6 win at 174 and Kody Marschner won in a major decision 15-4 to make it a 17-15 Aurora.

Mateo Casillas got the Griswold Center crowd on its feet and gave Millikin the lead with a win by fall in 13 seconds at 197 pounds. Leno Campbell scored a win by fall at 285 to seal the victory.
