Phillips named CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week

NAPERVILLE – Millikin's Cole Phillips was selected College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week on Tuesday afternoon.

The senior from Allen, Texas was a winner in both doubles and singles competition in last Saturday's spring dual opener against Webster in Decatur – a 6-1 MU victory.

Phillips and Theodor Wolf picked up a 7-6 win at #1 doubles over Ethan Foucheaux and Matthew Birchmeier, a result that allowed the Big Blue to secure the doubles point. Phillips later sailed to a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Foucheaux at #1 singles.
