Millikin Wrestling Second at CCIW Championships

The Millikin University wrestling team finished in second place at the 2025 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Wrestling Championships on February 15 at the Griswold Center in Decatur, Illinois. It marks the six straight year, Millikin has finished in the top two. After three straight titles to start the run, the Big Blue have finished in second the last three seasons. North Central won with 169 points followed by Millikin with 122 and MSOE with 107.

Millikin fifth year senior Dejon Glaster put his name in the Big Blue record book becoming on the third wrestler in school history to win four or more CCIW Championships. He joins five time champion Bradan Birt and four time champ Kip Crandell. Glaster, who is ranked fifth nationally at 174 pounds, scored three bonus point wins in route to the title with two technical falls and one fall. He defeated Jackson Hughes of MSOE in the Championship match. Glaster was named the CCIW Wrestler of the Meet.

Senior Coby Haney (133 pounds) and junior Chase Mirelez (149 pounds) gave the Big Blue two more individual titles. After two bonus point wins in the opening two rounds, Haney scored an 8-5 sudden victory over North Central's Ethan Spacht. Mirelez won in the thrilling comeback over Kenny Siwicki of North Central in the Championship match. He trailed 10-4 after the first period before storming back to take a 12-10 advantage after two periods and sealing the win 17-10 in the third period.

Millikin's Cam Lee earned All-Conference honors with third place finish at 125 pounds. Lee was named the Wrestling Elite 26 Award for the highest grade point average from the top two teams.
