Millikin Baseball Downs Vikings

The Millikin baseball team picked up a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin victory downing North Park University 8-3 at the Workman Family Baseball Field on March 31 in Decatur, Illinois.
 
While North Park held the Big Blue to just six hits on the game, Millikin took advantage of nearly every opportunity that results from the Vikings three errors, four walks, three wild pitches, two hit by pitches and two balks.
 
Freshman Joey Niebrugge had two doubles and an RBI to pace the Millikin offense. Hayden Stork also had two hits.
 
Joe Perona led North Park with four hits including a double and triple along with two stolen bases.
 
Millikin freshman Caleb Akins was the winning pitcher throw six innings allowing one run on three hits while striking out six.
