Millikin Baseball Season Ends with Loss to Firebirds

The Millikin baseball team saw its season come to an end with a 9-0 loss to Carthage College in an elimination game at the 2025 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Baseball Tournament on May 8 in Bloomington, Illinois.
 
Millikin ends the year at 23-20 while Carthage improves to 30-19.
 
The story of the game was the pitching performance of Carthage starter Ryan Scanlon who threw a complete game shutout allowing Millikin only five hits while striking out 11.
 
Millikin freshman Julian Cabanin continued his hot hitting in the tournament collecting two of the Big Blue's five hits including a double.
 
P.J. Moser led Carthage with three hits and two RBI. Matt Felber had three RBI.
