Women's Volleyball Undefeated at ONU Invitational

The Big Blue women's volleyball team took the courts at Ohio Northern for day two of the ONU Invitational after defeating Alma College 3-1. The Big Blue saw a similar result on Saturday, downing Case Western Reserve and Ohio Northern in four sets apiece. 

Against Case Western, (25-19, 25-14, 17-25, 25-22) Delaney Higgins, Elle Richards, and Addison Oyer each tallied double digit kills with 13, 12, and 11 apiece. Kyra Carothers tallied five blocks at the net, and Higgins totaled 19 digs. Isabelle Martinelle added 15. Alyssa Frederking added 27 assists to her season totals.

Kalli Wall was the leader at the net for CWRU.

Higgins once again led the way against (22-25, 25-21, 25-21, 28-26). Richards added 15, and Gabriella Ricci chipped in 13. 

Carothers tallied four service aces and eight blocks defensively. Frederking recorded 33 set assists and led the way defensively with 12 digs. 

Millikin outkilled ONU 63-52 in the match.

Addison Oyer and Delaney Higgins were named to the All-Tournament Team for their performances during the weekend. 

Millikin will meet their first College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin opponent on Wednesday, September 24 when they travel to Waukesha, Wis. to meet Carroll University.
