After a pair of lightning delays pushed back kickoff, the Millikin University women's soccer team battled Illinois College to a 1-1 tie on Sunday evening. The match, originally scheduled for 3:00 p.m., finally got underway at 4:40 p.m. once the storms cleared.

Millikin struck first in the 34th minute when Izzy Jones netted her fourth goal of the season, capitalizing on a perfect setup from Payton Dominguez to give the Big Blue a 1-0 lead.

Illinois College evened the score in the 61st minute when Katy Adler found the back of the net off an assist from McKenzie Murray, making it 1-1.

With the tie, Millikin moves forward with momentum and will be back in action on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m., hitting the road to take on Greenville University.
