Women's Basketball Falls to 6-7 with Loss at Augustana

The Millikin women's basketball team traveled to Rock Island, Ill. for their second matchup with the Vikings of Augustana College on Saturday, January 3. With a 54-63 loss, the Big Blue fall to 6-7 on the season. 

Bella Dudley was the leading scorer in the loss with 23 points, making 7-of-16 shots from the field. Hannah Ermeling added 14 and Tatum Young totaled 10 points. Rilee Riggs was the leading rebounder with nine. 

The Big Blue shot just 1-for-10 in the first quarter, falling behind 3-21 after the end of the first period. They mounted a second half comeback, outscoring the Vikings 39-29 in the second half. 

The Vikings were led by Cali Papez with 15 points, and Audrey Erickson added 15. 

Millikin will be back in action on Wednesday, January 7 when the Thunder of Wheaton College travel to Decatur, Ill. for a 7:00 PM matchup at the Griswold Center.
