DECATUR, IL – Following Wednesday's road victory over Illinois Wesleyan, Millikin men's soccer returned to Frank M. Lindsay Field on Saturday afternoon to host the Vikings of Augustana College. The Big Blue were unable to find the back of the net as Augustana secured a 3-0 victory. With the loss, Millikin falls to 7-7-1 (3-4-0), while the Vikings improves to 5-3-4 (2-2-2).
Millikin outshot Augustana in the first half, tallying eight shots compared to the Vikings' seven. However, Augustana scored twice in the first half, at the 20:37 and 39:34 marks respectively; sending Millikin into the locker room trailing by two.
In the second half, the Vikings added on to their lead with a goal in the 60th minute, increasing their lead to 3-0. Millikin added five more shots throughout the second half, pushing their overall total to 13.

Bryce Davis led the Big Blue with five shots, including two on goal. Junior
Aidan Welch tallied 3 shots throughout the match, while Goalkeeper
Joshua Garrett made six saves in net, but Millikin was unable to overcome the early deficit as Augustana hands the Big Blue their 4th CCIW loss of the year.
Men's soccer takes a break from CCIW play on Wednesday, Oct. 21, when the team travels to Monmouth College (IL). The match is set to begin at 3:30 p.m.
