Millikin Women's Swimming competed Thursday at the CCIW Championships, turning in strong relay performances against top conference competition.
The Big Blue placed 5th in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:43.56, as
Audrey Korniak, Imy Moreno,
Anjaleah Knowles, and
Becka Dunakey combined for an impressive swim.
In the 400-yard medley relay, the team of
Brenna Pacheco,
Becka Dunakey,
Audrey Korniak, and Imy Moreno finished 6th with a time of 4:23.12.
Millikin women's swimming continued competition at the CCIW Championships, adding strong individual efforts in day two action.Â
Audrey Korniak placed 12th in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:02.04. In the 100-yard breaststroke, Abigail Penning recorded a time of 1:40.56.Â
Becka Dunakey turned in a strong sprint performance, finishing 11th in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.19.Â
Millikin wrapped up competition on the final day of the CCIW Championships with strong performances in the pool and recognition for sportsmanship.
In the finals, Becka Dunakey placed 8th in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 55.50. Brenna Pacheco finished 16th in the 200-yard backstroke, touching the wall in 2:23.89. Audrey Korniak added an 11th-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:25.46.
The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Anjaleah Knowles, Imy Moreno, Brenna Pacheco, and Becka Dunakey closed out the meet with a 6th-place finish, posting a time of 3:51.88.
Audrey Korniak earned the CCIW Women's Swimming RESPECT Award, highlighting her leadership and sportsmanship.
