Millikin Baseball wrapped up its weekend series against Illinois College on Saturday morning with a 5–4 victory in the 11:00 a.m. contest.

Millikin's defense set the tone early in the top of the third inning. Sam Bushur made a diving catch in the outfield, and Kolby Koslofski followed with a deep left-center grab to prevent a run and keep the game scoreless.

The Big Blue broke through in the fourth inning. Pete Britton led off with a line drive single up the middle, and Ty Cribbett followed with a ground-rule double to move Britton to third. Carder Reich laid down a sacrifice bunt that turned into a hit, scoring Britton for the game's first run. During Koslofski's at-bat, a wild pitch allowed Cribbett to score, and Koslofski later added an RBI grounder up the middle to bring Reich home. Sam Bushur doubled to move Koslofski to third, and Gage Reynolds delivered a grounder up the middle that plated both runners, giving Millikin a 5–0 lead after four innings.

Illinois College answered with one run in the fifth and three more in the sixth to cut the lead to 5–4, but Millikin held on for the win. Gavin Houchins entered in the middle of the fifth inning and secured the save, pitching four innings while allowing three hits and striking out five.

Offensively, Sam Bushur earned Player of the Game honors, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and a single. Carder Reich finished 2-for-4, while Julian Cabanin, Pete Britton, Ty Cribbett, Gage Reynolds, and Kolby Koslofski each recorded a hit.

Millikin returns to action next weekend as they host the Jimmy John's Invite on Saturday and Sunday at Workman Family Baseball Field.
