Women's Tennis Suffers Spring-Opening Loss

The Millikin women's tennis team returned to the courts for their first official match of the spring season, meeting Southwestern Illinois College at the Fairview Park Tennis Complex on Thursday, March 26. Millikin fell 2-5 in the match.

SWIC swept doubles play to secure a point heading into singles competition. Isabella Griffiths earned her first win of the spring at No. 1, defeating Catherine Barnes 2-6, 6-2, 11-9. Sarah Parsons was responsible for the second Big Blue win, defeating Gracie Smith at No. 4 7-5, 6-3.

Millikin women's tennis will look to bounce back with a match against St. Olaf College on Tuesday, March 31 at Fairview Park.
