In day two of the Jimmy Johns Invite, the Big Blue faced Lawrence University and won 4-2.
Millikin got the bats rolling early in the first inning. Carder Reich singled to right field to score Leyton Ivers and moved Ty Cribbett into scoring position. Sam Bushur followed with a sacrifice fly to bring home Cribbett and extend the early lead.
The Big Blue added another run in the third inning when Ty Cribbett grounded out to third base, allowing Leyton Ivers to score.
Millikin continued to add on in the fifth inning as Pete Britton doubled down the left field line, driving in Leyton Ivers for another run.
On the mound, Matthew Brummer earned the win for Millikin. Brummer pitched six innings, having six strikeouts, one run, and five hits.
Then Nolan Reiman closed the game out to secure the save, pitching three innings with three strikeouts, one run, and three hits.
