Decatur, IL - Millikin University Softball hosted a youth clinic on July 14th and 15th at the Workman Family Softball Field. Centered around giving back through sport, the event focused on teaching the fundamentals of softball to local area youth grades 1-8, and had over 50 participants.
"We were very happy to see so many young ladies from around the area interested in improving their softball skills." said Assistant Softball Coach
Martin Stupek. "Big Blue Softball has always felt the support from Decatur, and it's great to be able to give back and strengthen that bond."
Each day was spent working on the fundamental skills of fielding, throwing, pitching, and hitting. Every session was concluded with a 30-minute wiffle ball game.
Big Blue Softball looks forward to continuing to build the bond with the Decatur community heading into the 2027 season.
