Milwaukee, WI – Millikin University women's volleyball traveled four hours for a weekend of matches, starting the weekend short 1-3 against the Pioneers of Wisconsin-Platteville.
Dropping the first two sets, the Big Blue fought back with 11 kills on the set, holding Wisconsin to eight kills with a .000 percentage on the set, taking the set 25-20. Shortly after, the Pioneers flipped the script, taking the fourth set 25-20.
Thayleah Hall posted a team high of nine kills and 10 digs, just one kill short of a double-double.
Kyra Carothers followed suit with eight kills and six total blocks.
Miley Quade made an impact on the service line with four aces along with her seven kills on the night.
Francesca Brandonisio led both teams with a match-high total of 22 digs in the back court, putting her over 90 on the season.
Millikin volleyball enters their next match 3-3 on the season, looking to make improvement as a team.
The Big Blue continue competitive play tomorrow September 12, facing the host Wisconsin Lutheran at 10am followed by Rose-Hulman at noon, streamed on the WLC network.
