Millikin Men's Golf team hosted its' annual home event on April 20-21 at Country Club of Decatur. The Butts Classic began in 2023 in honor of 1951 Millikin Alumnus Mr. James Butts. Butts was a part of Millikin's first two conference titles in 1949 and 1951. He was inducted in the Millikin Athletics Hall of Fame in 2024. The event originally was contested in the fall at South Side Country Club. Big Blue Men's Golf competed in Illinois Wesleyan Invitational on Friday and Saturday, April 3-4 in Normal, IL. The tournament is contested at two different golf courses to accommodate the 41-team, 255-player field featuring some of the region's best teams. Millikin entered two teams in the field. The annual Golfweek tournament is one of the premier events of the fall season featuring a field of top teams in the country.
