Eric Ignatowski

Eric Ignatowski joined the Millikin staff in August of 2013 as an assistant baseball coach.

Along with Head Coach Brandon Townsend, Ignatowski has played a major role in the success of the Big Blue program in recent years. In 2021, the Big Blue to the best season in school history with a 31-16 overall record and a 20-12 mark in College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW). Millikin set school records for overall wins and conference wins in a season. Ignatowski and Townsend guided the Big Blue to a CCIW Tournament Title and the school’s first ever trip to the NCAA Tournament. In 2019, Millikin finished 23-20 overall, going 14-10 in CCIW conference play. The Big Blue were third in the regular season standings and qualified for the CCIW Tournament for the first time since 1990, where they would finish third in the conference playoffs.   

Prior to coming to Millikin, Ignatowski spent two years as an assistant coach at Eureka College. He also served as the head coach of the Park Ridge Indians in the Metro Collegiate Summer Baseball League of Illinois.

Ignatowski played collegiately at Concordia-Chicago helping his team earning the most career wins as a four year player in school history. As a senior, he was a team captain and earned All-Conference honors.

Ignatowski graduated from Concordia University-Chicago in 2011.
