Bryan Sander joined the Millikin football coaching staff in March 2022 to serve as the Big Blue’s Defensive Coordinator and Linebackers Coach.
Prior coming to Millikin, Sander spent eight seasons on the staff of South Oregon University. Sander joined the Raider coaching staff as a linebackers coach in the spring of 2014 under head coach Craig Howard. With the arrival of new head coach Charlie Hall in 2017, he was made SOU's cornerbacks coach and special teams coordinator. Prior to the 2018 season, he was promoted to defensive line coach. Sander was on the Raiders’ staff in 2014 when Southern Oregon on the NAIA National Championship.
A product of Cincinnati, Ohio, Sander attended the Mount St. Joseph University, where he was a defensive back on the football team for two years and graduated in 2007 with a degree in business.
Sander started his coaching career as defensive backs coach at Mayville State from 2008-2010. Sanders then spent two seasons at his alma mater coaching running backs and receivers, before making his move to the West Coast and Humboldt State (Calif.), where he coached corners for one season in Arcata.
