Blake Woodard

In 2017-18, Blake Woodard completed his fourth year at Millikin University as an Assistant Men's Basketball Coach.  In addition to being a part of the Big Blue basketball staff, Woodard is the Assistant Director of the Office of Student Success where he works closely with all of the Big Blue athletic teams to provide additional academic support outside of the classroom.  

Prior to coming to Millikin, Woodard spent four years as an Assistant Coach for Rodney Watson at Division II University of Southern Indiana from 2010-2014. The Screaming Eagles won the 2012 and 2014 GLVC Tournament title and advanced to the NCAA tournament all four years during that time period. USI was 94-29 (.764) during Woodard’s four years at the Evansville school while producing nine all-conference picks and four All-Americans.
 
Prior to USI, Woodard was the Assistant Coach at Brehm Prepatory High School in Carbondale, Illinois. During his time at Brehm Prep, he coached six players that went on to become Division 1 basketball players while helping them achieve a national ranking.  Woodard was also the Head Junior Varsity basketball coach at Unity Point Grade School when he was 18.
 
Woodard was born in Carbondale, Illinois and received bachelor’s degrees in Business Management and Business Administration with Minors in Finance and Marketing from the University of Southern Indiana. He also holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern Indiana.
