Millikin University Head Men’s Basketball Coach Kramer Soderberg promoted Mack Snyder to full-time assistant coach for the Big Blue program in April 2023.
 
Snyder has served as a graduate assistant coach for the Big Blue program since 2021 and was a member of the Millikin staff that turned around the Big Blue men’s program. In 2021-22, Millikin went 14-12 overall and qualified for the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Conference tournament for the first time in program history. In the last two seasons, the Millikin men’s basketball program saw a 33 percent increase in winning precent under Soderberg and his staff. Snyder has been involved in recruiting and player development. He has been the lead recruit on several prospects from southern and central Illinois. Snyder developed the Big Blue’s current weight training off-season program and coached the Millikin JV team for the last two seasons. During the summer, Snyder coached with MidPro Academy, one of the premier AAU programs in the country.
 
Snyder was a manager for the University of Illinois men’s basketball program from 2018-20. He was involved with individual workouts, team practices, and travel, while  helping with other daily operations. In 2020-21, Snyder served as an assistant coach for Tuscola High School where is primary focus was opponent scouts.
 
Snyder graduated from the University of Illinois in May 2021 with a degree in Communications.
