Monica Briceno (Played for Coach Forman from 2009-2011)
“Coach Forman is a great coach, but he is an even better person. The thing that I loved most about Coach Forman is that he believed in me, even when I didn’t believe in myself. He improved my mental game tremendously. Before, I would always get nervous while playing, but having Coach Forman on my side helped ease my tension. He not only pushed me to be a better tennis player but to be a better person. He is the hardest working coach that I ever had and is very determined to get the best out of you. He gets the best out of you with a smile and a positive attitude. Thanks Coach Forman for improving me on and off the court!”
Ali Underhill (Played for Coach Forman from 2010-2012)
“Coach Forman was a great tennis coach! He was so motivational! He would always find the right words to say to me to get me ready for a match. What I enjoyed most about playing for Coach Forman was that I knew that no matter how successful or unsuccessful I was that he was always proud of me and he knew that I tried my best!
Coach Forman also introduced me to running. One of my favorite memories of Coach Forman was how excited and proud he was of me for completing my first half-marathon. I finished in an hour and forty-eight minutes but I know that deep down it didn’t matter what my finish was as he was more proud of the training and commitment I showed to achieve this!
Off the court, Coach Forman was always looking to find ways to get the team involved in volunteer activities. One of the moments that characterizes Coach Forman, was when we were feeding the homeless. Even though he was suffering from an injury, there he was lifting all the boxes of food. Coach Forman truly is a role model and I am so fortunate that I chose to play tennis for him. He has helped me become a better tennis player and person. He has better prepared me for my future!”
Stephanie Cardullo (played for Coach Forman from 2010-2012, ranked top 20 in the nation)
“Coach Forman is not only an amazing coach but he is a wonderful person with a big heart. Coach Forman was always the first one at practice and the last one to leave which is not always found in a coach. Coach Forman would spend hours helping me build confidence in my backhand. He would always come out before a team practice and would run drills to improve my backhand. Before I met Coach Forman, I was afraid to hit my backhand and would end up slicing every ball, Coach Forman never gave up on me and was determined to add variety into my game where I could slice and hit over my backhand. It took a while for me to feel comfortable hitting my backhand and not always slicing it, but once I felt comfortable and gained confidence my overall game improved. Having Coach Forman on my bench during matches propelled me to become an All-American, State Champion, and a National Finalist. His positive energy and never-say-die attitude helped propel me to victories that were looking like sure defeats. Having Coach Forman as my coach was an honor and something I will always cherish. I sincerely believe any player that is lucky enough to be coached by him will be successful, and as a result, will feel the same way as I do!”
