Nicole Wetstein

Nicole Wetstein joined the Millikin track and field staff in 2016 serving as the Big Blue’s jumps and sprints coach. 

In 2020, the Millikin men's team finished in second place at the CCIW Indoor Track and Field Championships.  The coaching staff of Andrew Craycraft, Nicole Westein, Dylan Lafond, Terri Abraham and Kensia Safonova were named the CCIW Men's Coaching Staff of the Year.  In 2019, the Millikin men's coaching staff of Andrew Craycraft, Nikki Westein, Melanie Heslop and Dylan LaFond earned the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Indoor Track and Field Coaching Staff of the Year award.
 
Prior to coming to Millikin, Wetstein was an assistant coach at St. Could State University coaching the sprints, hurdles, multi-events and high jump.  She served as the recruiting coordinator for both the track and field and cross country programs.  While at St. Cloud State, Wetstein coached nine NCAA provisional qualifiers and 17 All-Conference performances.
 
Wetstein competed collegiately at Emporia State University earning All-American status in the 100 Meter Hurdles.  She was a five time NCAA Division II National Championships participant in the Triple Jump, 60 Meter Hurdles and 100 Meter Hurdles.  She set school records in the 60 Meter Hurdles, 100 Meter Hurdles and Pentathlon.
 
Wetstein earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion from Emporia State University.
