Caleb Johnson

Caleb Johnson joined the Millikin staff in July 2023 as an assistant coach on Head Coach Olivia Lett’s staff for the Big Blue women’s basketball program.
 
Johnson comes to Millikin with 10 years of coaching experience on the high school and collegiate level. He more recently was the boy’s head coach at Elsberry High School in Elsberry, Missouri. Johnson spent four seasons at Elsberry leading them to at 21 win season in 2021-22 and a 20 win season in 2022-23. Johnson’s teams won two tournament championships and posted one runner-up finish. In the 2021-22, Elsberry earned a top 10 state ranking and went undefeated in conference play (9-0) earning Johnson the EMO Conference Coach of the Year and All-Area Coach of the Year. Johnson’s teams posted significant academic improvements in his tenure as well.
 
Prior to Elsberry, Johnson spent one season as the assistant men’s coach at Quincy University.
 
Johnson was an assistant boys coach from 2013-18 at Nicholas County High School in Carlisle, Ky.
 
Johnson has worked at several college basketball camps including the University of Kentucky’s Women’s Basketball Elite Camp and the Women’s Basketball Day Camp at Kentucky. He also coached men’s camps at Brigham Young University, Marquette University and Quincy University
 
Johnson earned his bachelor’s degree from Morehead State University in 2017. He completed the Master of Athletic Administration program at Union College in Kentucky. Johnson is a graduate of Bath County High School in Owingsville, Ky.
