Melanie Binder joined the Millikin coaching staff in 2017.
Binder is a Decatur native and local businesswoman who attended St. Teresa High School where she was a student-athlete playing golf, basketball and softball. She chose golf over softball and continued her athletic career playing Division I golf at Illinois State University. Binder won the Missouri Valley Conference title her junior year and was all-conference her senior year.
After graduating from ISU, Binder became an LPGA teaching professional and later coached St. Teresa’s golf team leading the Bulldogs to regional and sectional championships, as well as several visits to the state finals.
Binder enjoys traveling, attending her daughters’ events and spending time with friends and family.
